ChatGPT connects to Orphex as a custom MCP server. This works on ChatGPT Business, Enterprise and Edu plans. You add Orphex's server URL in ChatGPT, then sign in.
Step by step
- Create a custom MCP server in ChatGPT
In ChatGPT, open Plugins, click Add and choose Create custom MCP server.
- Enter the name and the server URL
Under Name, enter Orphex. Under Connection, paste the server URL:
https://api.orphex.co/api/interaction-gateway/v1/mcp
- Create it and sign in
Tick I understand and want to continue and click Create. Click Continue to Orphex, then use your Orphex email address (Orphex sends you a verification code) or continue with Google.
Tip: ChatGPT shows a risk warning for every custom server. It is not specific to Orphex. - Choose your workspaces
Select the workspaces ChatGPT should reach and click Connect selected workspaces. Then accept the consent screen. The connection is done.
- Publish it for your team
An Admin or Owner of your ChatGPT workspace must publish the app before your team can use it. Until then, only the person who created it can use it.
- Ask your first question
Start a new chat, open the tools menu and select Orphex before you send your message. For example:
PromptWhich workspaces am I connected to?
ChatGPT uses Orphex to answer and lists the workspaces you connected.
